Now she wants to bring the same care for her neighbors, and the same eye for detail, to the Maryland Senate.

Amy Leahy and her husband raised their children in Anne Arundel County. She knows what it feels like to want good schools, safe neighborhoods and a place your family can afford to stay.
Her connection to local government began in the county budget office in 1983. Her work later spanned recreation and parks and constituent services. She has seen how a decision made in an office becomes a park, a program, a bill or a frustration for a resident trying to get help. That experience shapes her belief that government should answer for what it spends and what it delivers.
Her service continued outside the office. Amy has been involved with the Greater Severna Park Council, supported National Night Out and first responders, volunteered around local schools and cared for a community garden along the B&A Trail. These are the everyday places where she hears what residents actually need.
She is running as a Republican for State Senate because she believes District 33 needs a voice willing to read the fine print, ask hard questions and put neighbors ahead of party routines.
